Women's Tailoring & Enterprise Cohort
Sharda Maa Centre, Nandkumarpur
A three-month tailoring and enterprise cohort for twenty women, ending with machine access and market linkage support.
The story
Many women in our villages already stitch and mend at home, but without machines, training or market access it never becomes an income.
This cohort takes twenty women through three months of tailoring training at the Sharda Maa Centre, adds basic enterprise skills — costing, pricing, record keeping — and closes with shared machine access and introductions to local buyers.
Graduates join our women's self-help network, so the support continues after the course ends.
What is needed
Trainer fees for three months, practice fabric and materials, ten shared sewing machines, and enterprise-skills sessions with a local mentor.
Beneficiaries · Twenty women from riverside villages, prioritising single earners
