A Digital Learning Room for Riverine Villages
Nandkumarpur & Joykrishnpur, South 24 Parganas
Help us set up a shared digital learning room with laptops, connectivity and a trained facilitator for children and youth in Nandkumarpur and Joykrishnpur.
The story
Most students in our riverside villages complete school without ever using a computer. When Learning Hub courses moved online, many learners borrowed phones or travelled to a relative's house to attend.
A small digital learning room — ten laptops, a reliable connection, power backup and a trained local facilitator — would give every enrolled learner a place to study, practise and sit assessments with dignity.
The room will be hosted at our existing community space, so every rupee raised goes to equipment, connectivity and facilitation, not construction.
What is needed
10 laptops with basic accessories, a broadband connection with 12 months of data, a small inverter for power cuts, and a part-time local facilitator for one year.
Beneficiaries · School-age children, Learning Hub learners and local youth
