A series of four free health camps with screening, basic diagnostics and referral support for riverside villages before winter sets in.
The story
The nearest full-service hospital is a long journey from our villages, and small health issues often go unchecked until they become serious. Our volunteer health workers see this every season.
This winter we want to run four day-long health camps — general screening, blood pressure and sugar checks, eye screening and maternal health guidance — with referral support for anyone who needs follow-up care.
Camps are staffed by visiting nurses and doctors who have worked with the Sangha before, supported by our trained volunteers.
What is needed
Visiting medical team honoraria, basic diagnostic supplies, medicines for free distribution where prescribed, and transport for elderly residents.
